    Zalman VF900 fanmate...

    Just wondering, if I remove the fanmate from my VF900 and just plug it straight into the motherboard, will the fan run at maximum or minimum speed?

    Don't you mean into the molex connector via the adaptor??

    Depends whether you are using the white or black adaptor as one will run the fan at full speed and the other at a slower speed.

    Sorry was badly worded...

    If I remove the fanmate completely and plug the fan directly into one of the 3-pin connectors on the motherboard, will the fan run at full speed?
