Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
Given a similar price, I'd go with Corsair.

Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
Crappy experiences with Corsair XMS brand, Value Select is good but not performance, never had any problems with OCZ, love their XTC Gold and Platinum EPP ram.
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
scan don't do ocz memory, they do have the corsair but its £200!
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
OCZ for performance memory and Corsair if you on a budget, there value select is amazing!
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
TBH corsair isnt that much cheaper and can OCZ can perform better, i say OCZ
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
Corsair because its slightly cheaper, but either will be a good choice
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
The Corsair looks nicer...... performance difference will be negligable even when overclocked
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
I use the OCZ Platinum and its FANTASTIC.
I think the reason alot go for Corsair is because thats really all Scan do. (For some unknown reason which we will never be privvy to).
I had the same wrestle with this as you and went for the OCZ.
I like Corsair, but with ALL their products, they only look after the North America market and show little interest in the UK market.(Sorry Yellowbeard...you do your best but its true).
If they bucked their ideas up i might buy more of their stuff. Until then...no way!
Just FYI.......Microdirect do the best deals on OCZ....delivery is very fast aswell. I picked up 2x1gb OCZ Platinum PC6400 for under £70 a couple of weeks back.

:o Its now £50 ...... There isnt better for that price.

I had planned on getting 2x2gb rather than 4x1gb (as it tends to work better apparently?). I had ordered from amazon but that was 5 weeks ago (they do state 4-6 weeks), but I am getting a bit anxious as to whether they will actually get it in (had previously ordered a book which took them 3 months to deliver!). So I am looking for alternatives as should hopefully have everything together for my new build next week.
But at that price I am tempted to go for 4x1gb
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 2x1GiB for £52.86 at the moment, direct from crucial. Dpepnding on your other gear, you can potentially run this stuff at 3-3-3-3@800Mhz, 4-4-4-4@1066Mhz and 5-5-5-5 anything up to 1300Mhz, but of course, your mileage may vary :D
Re: OCZ or Corsair memory?
I only ever buy Corsair - after experiencing their Customer Support for 4 year old RAM that went bad..... they were brilliant!
