Some guy the other day was selling a second hand quadro fx 1400 card, with a buy it now price of 200, If hed done any research he would have seen that there were new 1400s on there for 80 quid, It ended up selling for 16 quid though, cos he didnt put a reserve on it
Ahh yes the good old reserve thing, I've seen people not put reserves on stuff before and then refuse to sell the item.
best for me, was a belkin router which i had used constantly for a year, it cost me £80 and i sold it for £54inc
I'm not sure if this is a fiddle........ but was up against some bidders and gave up and was outbid, I then got an email a day or so later saying the top winning builders have pulled out did I still want it at my bid price.....well I was suspicious but happy at the price I paid for the goods.
Well it got me thinking whether the seller got a couple of pals to bid and bump up the price.
I did this once not to screw anyone but to make sure my friend got what I was selling...I thought this guy (bidder) would never drop out and told my friend to bid a ridiculous amount, a lot higherthan you could get it new in the shops.
The joys of ebay I'm afraid, there are plenty of people that will ask friends to bill up items, just the way things are these days...
It's a socket a athlon xp 3200+.. was the best one you could buy, and people are prepared to pay premium for them, one sold for £92 with £3 delivery the other week
*insert something whitty here*
Crikey!
Might split one of my FS rigs then as that was a Barton 2500 that ran at 400FSB for about 6 months, think I've got another one in my Shuttle too, could be some money to be made there
this had me in tears laffin
Q: Hi, I am very interested in buying this for my son, however I have also seen the 'chicken station 3', which they are selling at my local farmfoods. I want to buy him the very latest one so could you tell me which came first, the chicken or the egg??? 01-Oct-07
A: Hi, The chicken station 3 came first, you will however know that the one that comes first isn't always the best! Many thanks for the interest.
