    A8N-SLI Premium Sound Problem

    Hello all

Computer started rebooting the other day and I noticed (thank God) the RealTek Sound Manager was trying to pop up. After a few more crashes and BSODs I uninstalled the RealTek sound driver and computer started working ok.

(Only about a week ago I plugged in the speakers - been finishing off the computer for over a year ).

After a few attempts trying to get the nVidia sound driver to work, I gave up and reinstalled the RealTek again. Was ok for a few hours and then a BSOD when I was trying to shutdown. When it did shutdown the computer restarted automatically.

    Any advice (please)?

Should I stop faffing about and just install a Soundblaster?

I've got a SB 5.1 which I'll plug in. Not in to games or music so that'll do the job.
