    Best DDR2 P35 Board??

    Hi,

What is the best P35 board regardless of price??

    Should I wait for X38??

Probably the Blitz extreme if you can find one...personally, I would wait and see how the retail x38 boards do.

    Re: Best DDR2 P35 Board??

If I were to wait until the X38 boards finally arrive then I will probably get a P5E or QuadGT as I can not afford the crazy DDR3 prices. I also do not plan to use a dual GPU set-up ever.
So will X38 offer an advantage over the Asus P5K Premium?

I do plan to upgrade to a Nvidia G92 nxt year - will these cards need PCI-e 2.0??

depends if Asus sort the SATA problems on the Premium ...
If you aren't using dual GPU & DDR3 (apparently Penryn & DDR3 on X38 show gains over P35) then probably not.

    Re: Best DDR2 P35 Board??

Is the Blitz Formula (and by extension the Maximus) OK for air-cooling? I know it's good for water, but aren't those blingy copper HS a bit close to the CPU socket for one of the big air HSFs?
