Will a motherboard run RAM faster than it's spec says it will?

Just about to put an order through for a Chaintech Zenith ZNF3-150 or a Asus K8V Deluxe, and what I want to know is whether the boards will only run up to the listed 3200 DDR SDRAM, or is it worth putting in some 3700s instead.

I've been waiting about two months for this purchase (I waited for the 3400+ for those people who read the initial dilema here) and it's really killing me that I can't put it through until I've sorted this one out, so anyone who can help would be deemed a saint in my book...

    Thanks
