When I tried to install Windows XP onto my new system, my installation kept bogging up at the format/partition drive section of the install. I tried everything I could do in the bios to see if I could fix this issue. I even read the several c2d threads on this forum.
The only thing that worked was when I installed windows with just one stick of ram. It didn’t matter what stick I choose, just that I had one stick installed. (I have not tried 2 or three sticks yet)
After installation of windows and all windows patches applied I tried to boot up with 4GB agian. No go.
Does anyone know what this issue could be? I have search both high and low and have not been able to find an explanation. The closest thing that I have seen was this thread posted by another person in the same situation as me.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! BTW prior to building this system the current memory in this build was ran in memtest on a 965 for 18hrs straight with zero issues. The bios I'm working with is 0404, it came that way and the asus website reports it as the latest official release.
Memory in question is PNY D22GX93XLP-5.
