What's likely to be more useful in general gaming

E6750 + 640MB 8800GTS

OR

Q6600 + 320MB 8800GTS

What resolution are you planning on playing your games at?
The 320GTS happily handles 1280x1024 for all the games out at the moment, you will really only need the 640 if you have a big screen.

Sorry, forgot to mention I'm aiming for a 1680 x 1050 resolution.

Well that's just fate!

Scan have just added a new monitor that seems good value for money http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=661370, with the £40 shaved off compared to the Dell I was going for, plus a further £10 off from today only for the Q6600, I can have both!

Sure, the Dell is a well know brand with HDCP built in, but I just don't think I'll be taking advantage of HD content any time soon to make it worthwhile.

I'd have a read around first make sure it's up to the dells standards as they are very good screens, I really like mine (2007wfp)

and deffinatly the q6600 and 320GTS but i'd deffinatly hold on a week or so as the 8800GT is apparently very close and looks to be around £130/£140
