    ram question

    in terms of performance is it better to have ram that is

    1, running at 854mhz and at 6-6-6-18

    2, running at 712mhz and at 5-5-5-18?

    i have 2x2gb of g.skill ram

    The extra 142Mhz frequency increase would probably negate increased timings. So 1 I would guess. You could try benchmarking the RAM with both settings to see which yields the greater data throughput.

    got the ram running at

    890 mhz on a 4:5 divider. at 6-5-5-12

    bus speed is 356 therefore 3.2 ghz cpu.


    score in sandra is 6723 and 6713

    does that semm good or ok?

    Run Sandra at your other settings mate and compare the two...... bear in mind that the actual performance difference will be negligable though.
