Anyone got the Foxconn N570SM2AA-8EKRS2H ?

Hi everyone, recently bought this for my new nicely priced rig build for myself, i'm pairing it with an Inno3d 8600GT and an AMD AthlonX2 3800+ (hopefully the Energy Efficient one but i'm not picky right now, i just want to get it working ) and I noticed OCZ RAM is pretty cheap at ebuyer as I'm on a tight budget (as a challenge for myself and the fact i'm having less and less time to play games as i look for apprenticeships etc.)
But umm.. I read in the comments section on the ram that a lot of AMD users were having problems with the ram (due to 1.8v on amd boards) So I had a look at the foxconn site to no avail about the highest voltage the memory could be supplied on this board... could anyone anser this question for me? thanks in advance!

i found this on foxconn website

    http://www.foxconnchannel.com/produc...0SM2AA-8EKRS2H

checked two lots of the kingston (no OCZ on list) at ebuyer from the list

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/64178/...specifications

    both seem to be 1.8V

Re: Anyone got the Foxconn N570SM2AA-8EKRS2H ?

Wow you found more info than me! I went with some Kingston Value RAM DDR2-667 2gb which is here ebuyer.com/product/91124 which seems to work although my temp pci GPU doesn't seem to like it.. Just waiting on ebuyer to deliver my 8600GT.

Chose an Athlon64 X2 4200+ 65watt over the 3800+ as it was in stock and retail (i wanted the warranty and i didn't want to buy a new heatsink to find the system wasn't working etc.)
The Foxconn motherboard manual seems to reverse all the jumper settings to the real one (the front panel connectors seemed to have been turned 180degrees) it might apply to all the other front panel connectors.. If I can't get it working with the gpu when i get it on the 30th (damn you ebuyer.. so slow...) I'll probably ask for a refund and buy something better like an abit or asus..

If you haven't already, don't buy a foxconn board. They suck. Seriously.

Re: Anyone got the Foxconn N570SM2AA-8EKRS2H ?

I've got the board and it runs fine, good for the price as it was on special at scan. Poor bios options but had no stability issues running stock. Had a X1950XT and 2400Pro for graphics in there (both at the same time was fine as well). X2 3800+ EE and 2x1gb Crucial ram.

The pictures in the manual for the front pannel are upside-down for how you install the case, but the missing pin on the front pannel connectors indicates which way up it should be.

On other things, the chipset seems happy enough with the fanon 5V if noise is an issue, and a Zalman passive northbridge cooler also was fine (did have that installed with the X1950XT in the lower graphics slot, but bought a great big heatsink for the graphics card so needed it in the top slot again).

did you have any problems with set up? i'm not sure if the CMOS jumper is set right.. as it seemed to be on clear rather than normal

    PROBLEM SOLVED:
I found my way around the board and my other problems
