    "Complete Kit" (New PC/Laptop/TV/Console) Suggestions?

    Hi,

Not quite sure if this is the right board to put this in because it's a mixture of everything but hopefully someone will have suggestions.

I have around £2500-3000 max to spend on a Laptop, Custom Built PC, LCDTV + Console... I've chosen/spec'd up what I think might be good, but I don't really know all that much about hardware.

    Custom PC - £1000:
    Intel Q6600 G0 + Tuniq Tower 120
    OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400C4 (x2)
    EVGA 8800 GTX + Thermaltake HR-03 Cooler
    Asus P5K-E/WiFi-AP
    Antec P182
    Corsair HX 520w
    WD5000AAKS 500GB (x2)
    Samsung SH-S203B DVD+/-RW
Logitech Black Ultra X Wireless Media Desktop (keyboard + mouse)

    Laptop - £920: Sony FZ21S - 15.4" (1280x800), T7500, 2GB RAM, 300GB HDD, Blu-ray Player + DVD+/-RW, 8600GS

    TV - £560: Samsung LE37R87BDX 37"/720p

    Console - £260: XBOX 360 Premium (HDMI) + Halo 3 + Forza 2 + Gears of War

With those the total comes to £2740 but I'd really appreciate it if somebody could suggest better alternatives for one or even all of the selected items. I only have a two main requirements - The PC/Laptop need to be as quiet as possible (but pc without watercooling), and the console has to be an XBOX360 (the reason I added it to the list is if anyone knows of any better bundle/deals on it)

Ideally I would have liked a 1080p LCDTV (not 720p) but I they pretty much all take me over my budget, also a laptop that had a 1440x900 resolution but not many seem to, most are either 1280x800 or 1680x1050 (Apart from the MacBook Pro and Dell Vostro - neither of which I would really want).

Any alternative suggestions for the items listed would be great, Thanks! (and sorry for the long-ish post)

    Is it your birthday??? hehe

Have a look on Amazon it's my belief that for barely any more money if any at all you should be able to pick up a 1080p Samsung screen of similar size.
    Current: Shuttle SX58J3, i7 950, Corsair 16GB, 2x 1.5TB, XFX 6850 1GB, 3x Samsung 23" 1920x1080, 5760x1080 = AWESOME!

    Laptop: Vaio Z (13.3")

I see you've done your research lol

Dell vostro is really quite nice, with a near perfect keyboard..and great build quality. The sony has quite a clattery (i guess) keyboard but other than that it's a beautiful bit of kit. Nice touch with Blu Ray to.

That Custombuild will be totally silent..good choices all round.

Other two aren't my area but I do have a nice 26" sammy LCD, it's very nice
