Thermal Paste Questions

Ok, got my Arctic Silver Ceramique today, it's a 2.5g tube and I have a Q6600. Do I 'inject' the whole load on or just a little bit? Do I have to spread it thin or just gloop it in the middle and let the heatsink flatten it out?

I've done this loads of times before btw but not on a chip this expensive (always gone budget before now with £300 being the max for an entire system! where as I paid nearly that just for the chip and mobo this time round) and never with OC in mind, so i want to get it right first time
