Look's fine.

I'd go AMD on a tight budget though. Asus 690G mobo has DVI/VGA and is only £35

Then you can get a 2.3ish for £45 upto 3.0ghz for around £90 is you so wish.

    Re: New PC for folks

Looks alright to me. Do they really need 660gig of space? Its good value if they do need it, and if they have lots of home movies recorded off video cameras or whatever, then they probably would need it. But if they don't, you could save yourself about £30 by just getting two of the 160gig disks. And you could maybe even save yourself another £20 odd by skimping on the RAM. 1gig vs 2gig wouldn't make much difference if all they are doing is surfing the web, looking at photos, and watching movies. Although again, if they need it, its worth the extra 20 quid. So if they cut up movies or convert video formats or whatever, then the extra gig is worth it. But even my old pc with 512mb was fine for browsing, looking at photos and playing MP3s and stuff. Up to you. If you did cut back, it would be about £50 total which you could save, or maybe put it towards a better case, better monitor maybe (I dont know anything about that one), or maybe a nice wireless keyboard or something.

    Re: New PC for folks

    Thanks fellas.

Yeah you're probably right the 600Gb is overkill as is the 2Gb memory. But if they upgrade to Vista they may need it I suppose.

In terms of AMD/Intel I am firmly in the Intel camp ATM and would rather pay a few extra squid for the extra grunt I can get now.
