    Re: DVD Writers

I rate the samsungs very highly. Very quiet for optical drives and never had a bad burn from one.

Nero OEM will work on vista/

    Re: DVD Writers

The Lite-On drives and the Samsungs are excellent quality.

Having owned lots of these i think the Lite-On drives edge it.

    Re: DVD Writers

got a samsung drive from scan too, nice and quiet when reading

back in the days when cd-rw i used to go read the pc plus mags for reviews. nowadays i hardly bother as the dvd drive isn't that really important nowadays. to me at least

    Re: DVD Writers

Agreed on the Samsungs. Have a SH-203B and it's nippy as. Pretty quiet depending on the speed its running at. At full whack it's as noisy as other drives. The one thing that bugs me about this drive is it has something ridiculous like a minute spin down time. Apart from that it's an awsome drive!
