    Installing PSU in Antec P182

    Hello,

Bought new rig, I am now trying to put all together.
Started with power supply. As in topic can't see
the way to fix my new Corsair 620W to the case.
Where you have only fixings on PSU is the side where
switch and main cable is attached.
Anyone know how I can secure it, becouse I wouldn't
think you can leave PSU in the case free of at least
    one screw fixing.

Please help as I have ambitous plan to do all by myself
although I haven't got much knowlegde behind me
    to built PC comfortably enough.

    Cheers

Just to let anyone know who is reading this and has no idea what's going on, the P182 has the PSU at the bottom!

I own a PC that changes regularly, so I don't bother putting anything in here...

Re: Installing PSU in Antec P182

I've got a P182, and although i didn't make the same mistake i did install the PSU with the fan facing down? Is this a problem, it's the intake right? So i doubt it matters?

Re: Installing PSU in Antec P182

Its the way I did it too. Means the cables on my PSU (Enermax Infiniti 650W) are run neatly behind the motherboard.

By the way, best of luck with building your new system, and props to you for giving it a go - much better than buying a complete system, much more satisfying.
I hope you realise that while you did make a number of us smile, we're not mocking you, and everyone here is very happy to help!

Fan down is good. pulls in the coldest air and all the lables are the right way up. Fan up would still work OK I guess, but fan down is 'proper'.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.

Re: Installing PSU in Antec P182

1st time builder running into the same problem!

Putting my Corsair 520 into an Antec P182 and the whole putting it at the bottom of the case is

Is it put in the case in such a way as the power cable/switch are nearer the rear end of the case and all the power leads are at the front of the case?

I'm sure this will be the first problem I run into of many

    Thanks!

Re: Installing PSU in Antec P182

    forget the above post

I was putting the PSU at the front-bottom of the case, used for additional HDD, rather than the rear-bottom.
