    Question Are (2xTWIN2X4096-6400C5 G) & (2xTWIN2X2048-6400C5 G) Compatible

    Are (2)xTWIN2X4096-6400C5 G & (2)xTWIN2X2048-6400C5 G compatible with Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H motherboard for a total of 12GB.

    OS: Windows XP-Pro x64 64-Bit Edition.

    I want to add the extra 8GB for running multiple Virtual Desktops and various 64-Bit AutoCAD and Adobe CS3 type programs.

    It depends on the memory controller, but generally there shouldn't be a problem with it as long as you interleave the sticks in the correct memory slots. For e.g.

    DIMM1A - 4GB
    DIMM1B - 2GB
    DIMM2A - 4GB
    DIMM2B - 2GB

    This way the memory controller doesn't get messed up on which stick is in which channel.
