hmmm, which ram...
Morning
I'm currently sniffing around the pirces for a 64 3400+, but am totally stuck on what ram to get. With such a dazzling array out there I guess I'm just, err, dazzled. Any ideas would be appreciated, and yeah I do wanna perform a little of that ol' OC'ing...
Thanx

Well as Athlon 64's are dual channel systems at present (not till later this year anyway) I'd personally not buy two sticks of memory due to some of the instability stuff i've read about having two sticks of memory against the A64's, I have to say its all read knowledge and i've not yet heard of any problems from friends with them. But I guess your choices are extensive, and it really probably boils down to money, I wouldn't go for DDR500 stuff for your system, the FSB is unlikely to get there, I'd probably go for some decent DDR400 stuff. If you really want to do some overclocking Corsair is always one of the best choices.
I read an article on DDR500 memory back in October which was very interesting, I attach the link below to give you some more background to the manufacturers and how some of there higher spec modules work.
round up here
Hope this helps
