    Thanks everyone so far for their input. Please keep suggesting models! When you include VAT and delivery on the Dells they are super expensive, and this eBuyer one is 'not a bad laptop for the price', I want an excellent laptop for the price

    edit: Smallstool, yours also has a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS video card which is a whole ton better than integrated if it's anything like a 'real' Geforce 8600. From their online selection, Tesco seems to have really bad value laptops while yours seems to be an absolute steal.

    It's not. It's much better than most laptops graphics around this price, but it's not really a match for the desktop 8600s. You've also got the problem that there aren't any decent (or recent) drivers for them, as standard Forceware drivers don't work. You can use .inf hacks to get desktop Forceware drivers working, but you then lose all the mobile power-saving and fan controlling capabilities of them.
