Decisions, decisions. I'm not unhappy with my mx510, it has served me well and only some of the paint has come off the buttons. A few weeks ago I saw a preview of the new Razer mouse, the Lachesis here: [OC]ModShop - Razer Lachesis Gaming Mouse Hands-On and some stuff about the G9 and the Sidewinder. This made me want one, as the dpi on my mx510 is considerably less. Now the new razer is out I belive, so it's decision time, that or something else from the array of great new pinting devices? Which is going to help my aim in UT3 and TF2 the most?

The other thing about mice on my mind is: Mouse acceleration in games or no? I've been using mouse acceleration in and out of games since I got my first logitech 3 button pilot mouse iirc for wolfenstein 3d and discovered the mouse accelration there could really help as ball mice have limited tracking speed and so does the human arm. I've used it ever since and that's a few years now. However I've started thinking maybe my aim would be better without and I've disabled it in game and out to relearn mousing maybe to learn better if I get a new mouse, few weeks later I'm not sure if I'm used to linear mose response or if my aim is better tbh.
Also what mat to go with the new mouse. I might stick with my Qpad low sense for the time being as it's fine.
I wasnt sure if this belonged in the gaming section, but it is about hardware, so here it is!
Anyhow enough of my prattle, hit me with advice!![]()
