    Gears of War NVIDIA Drivers?!?

I just installed Gears of War it asked to install some NVIDIA forceware drivers version ending with .33. It said the game will eventually stop working and all progress will be lost so said install, it took me to the nvidia site i searched for the forceware drivers. It came up with some other version .74 (i think) installed it, restarted then the BSOD.

I managed to do system restore, but can anyone explain what happened?

*I did install the one for my specific gfx card.

If I were you I would just use the latest Beta driver, it's working fine for me. Are you using XP? I've never had a BSOD with drivers in Vista.

Re: Gears of War NVIDIA Drivers?!?

Running this on 7800GT before getting an 8800 gt or xmas.

Man, it's a f***ing dilemma, I tell ya: I REALLY want to play these games NOW, but on the other hand, I want to wait for the 8800 Gt to see them in their full glory. ARGH!

Anyway.... have played this on Xbox 360 lots. SOOOOOOOOOOO much better on PC. As always.
