Pc Restarting abruptly

My pc restarts 2-3 times evertime I switch it on. There is no error message. After a while it works fine but in the begining it keeps restarting.

What could be the issue?

I dont know... You havent posted any computer specs and any other helpful information other than your problem, it could honestly be anything.

Do you have active overclocks?

Do you have a processor installed?

Is there a family of roaches living inside the case of the computer?

Does your sister like to take your computer in the bath with her?

Motherboards based on the Intel P965 chipset tended to do that when you change overclock settings, which would be considered normal, but it shouldn't be a frequent thing unless there is a fault with the board.

Yeah mine is Intel 965p. Mine does it once when I change overclock settings or memory timings etc. But 3 times is quite odd. It would also be odd if it was doing things every time the PC is turned on - even when no bios settings have been changed.

I think I've seen mine do odd things when I had my case fans plugged into the PSU directly. Usually they where just plugged into the motherboard fan sockets.

but on a more serious note, i use to have the same issue. i figured it was a faulty memory slot on the motherboard but then again urs maybe different, psu cpu etc.

check event viewer in the control panel the next time it happens.
