Should be fine. Both are DDR2.

This RAM is faster and roughly the same speed
, though. Check out Hexus bargains for... well, bargains.

    Re: Quick Compatability Question (Mobo/RAM)

The Kingston RAM is PC 4200 whereas it says the board supports 5300 or 6400?

    Confused!

Cheers for that, I have some 800Mhz PC6400 GeIL on order, however work IT department are lending me this PC 4200 533Mhz stuff until Overclockers pull their fingers out and deliver mine

    Re: Quick Compatability Question (Mobo/RAM)

Oooh, I hadn't even thought that the board might not go that low.

I'd try it. Go straight into the BIOS and underclock to... thingy... ummm... 266MHz? If you can't set the RAM to 266MHz, then you had a wasted trip under your desk.

Edit: And I didn't mean that the above RAM was faster and roughly the same speed, I meant roughly the same price, of course! I think I may be a little bit ill today. Sorry!

    You cannot run DDR2 533 on a P35 chip.

That's bizarre, the P35 supports the 533MHz FSB. I wonder why it can't support 533MHz RAM?

Intel most likely did this to stop people from putting a CPU with a 1333FSB with DDR2 533 as it would slow the CPU down even if your going to put a slower FSB in.
