Hi folks,
I'm happy with my Asus 8800GT, but the fan is too loud.
Is there anything I can do, like get a replacement fan?
Thanks for looking.

Perhaps wait for one of this?
Maybe this?
::: Zalman :::
Ive just fitted the VF9000CU, all is good, and quiet as a mouse.
The VF1000 looks good.
I found one for 29 inc. VAT
VF1000-LED Quad Heatpipe VGA Cooler
Does anybody know any other sources?
However you need extra memory cooler kit for the VF1000 to work on a 8800GT.
Scan sells it.

I will go for the VF1000 and the Heatsink Kit
I've only seen one comparison between the HR-03 Plus (the GT version is supposed to be a little better) and the VF-1000. The main thing that puts me off the Thermalright is the size - it looks like it take a lot more space. But I'll probably pick it over the Zalman - my impression of the Zalman based on what I've read is that they are reasonably quiet but not as quiet as you can get, reasonably cool, but not as cool as you can get.
The HR-03 is indeed massive, you can mount it either under the card in which case with a fan its going to take up about 3 slots below or you can mount it around the card in which case with the fan I would guess it takes up 2 slots above the card. Just be sure you have enough room in your set-up for it. You may have issues mounting it round the card if your PCIe slot is the top one as it will possibly interfere with your cpu cooler.
