Enermax Aurora Keyboard Problems
Hi all.
I recently built my girlfriend a fairly basic system and seem to be having problems with the keyboard. After a random amount of time (sometimes hours, sometimes even under an hour) the keyboard just stops responding. When a key is pressed the Num Lock light just flashes. I've tried contacting Enermax but I've heard nothing from them.
I'm wondering whether it may be a power issue? I built the system using the Antec NSK 4480B Mini Tower Case that comes with a 380W Earth Watts PSU. But the strange thing is its just the keyboard that stops responding, so it's not as though the whole USB interface isn't getting enough power. I'm pretty sure the USB ports are USB2.0 enabled too.
Anybody got any suggestions / know anything about this problem?
Cheers. :)
Re: Enermax Aurora Keyboard Problems
Try a different keyboard -- usb keyboards can be very cheap. or borrow a ps2 keyboard and see if the problem still exists.
Re: Enermax Aurora Keyboard Problems
This keyboard was like £50 so it wasn't cheap. But if it breaks on me again I'll swap it with my USB keyboard, if that failes again I'll try a ps/2 keyboard :) What do you think about the power? Could that be an issue? The keyboard has 2 USB ports on it and audio in and out ports.

Id be very very suprised if it was an issue with power, sounds like a faulty keyboard, contact the shop you got it from, failing that email/phone enermax?

My Aurora dose that as well, I had put it down to the KVM switchit runs through. Unlpugging it then putting it back fixes the problem.

Yeah, that works, but it isn't ideal is it? I'm using it now on my computer and it works fine. Not stopped working at all. You think with the computer set-up the only way to fix this is to buy a different keyboard? Or will all USB keyboards do the same thing? If I send it back they'll just give me a replacement - but it works anyway. I don't want to be buying any new internal components just to make a keyboard work properly - although its a bloody good keyboard (and not cheap)!
