    Rig has arrived!

    Nice & juicy, q6600, 4GB Extreme Patriot RAM (2x 2gb) Abit IP-35E, 8800GT.

Q6600 clocked up to 3.6GHZ with ease, and i am not even using air! Just the ninja alone, although it is getting up to 70 degrees underload which isnt too great i know, but it will survive. Going to take the voltage downa little to see if i can get away with it.

8800gt is bloody great, and played crysis demo maxed out apart from full on the antriscopic i recall. A little bit of overclocking might sort that?

    Re: Rig has arrived!

Also, thanks to the dudes who helped me pick it
The GT has a zalman on it mike which is really damn quiet, and because of the way my case/mobo is, the sodding Ninja fan will not fit haha
You really want pics jabski? It cud be arranged hehe.

Im just turning the voltages down now, looks like i over compensated on the over clock which was a bit silly. I was going by what others had done though.

Two major problems were had on the way to the build,

    1. Abit motherboard set to 1.8v cpu core!!! Frightend me to death when i started to see the temp on its way up to 90 degrees.
    2. RAM under powering! Had to raise the ram voltage a lot

All is hunky dorey now though Im just giving it more priming as i detract more voltage. back to 1.3v now , yay! 50 with no load. Seems quite hi still although i dont mind it from what ive read.

    Re: Rig has arrived!

Just for the record, the 8800GT has reached 700mhz coreclock, 1025mhz memory clock, and 1800mhz shader so far Probbaly the best i will get out of the zalman VF9000 CU i think. Not bad for £160!
