Seagate hdd trojan alert

Seen a couple of posts on various boards today re new 300/500 seagate hdd's (must be pre-formatted ones ) arriving with a trojan enbeded (possibly in boot sector ) . Seens to point to Chinesse government involvement. Seagate have admitted that there was a problem but say that all drives leaving the factory in China are now virus free. ( was going to post this in news section but don't have access) . Apologies if this is 'posted' elsewhere in the 'forums'.

I've never ever had a Seagate drive, new or RMA that's arrived pre-formatted.
