    New Rig (But not mine)

right, after a couple of months of pestering i've finally had all the bit for my bosses new rig...

    Abit IP35-Pro
    Q6600
    Scythe Ninja + SFlex fan
    EVGA 8800GTS ACS3 640Mb
    Enermax Galaxy 850w
    4Gb Geil DDR2 Ultra 6400
    2x Samsung Spinpoint 250Gb
    2x NEC optiarc dvd-rw
    TT Armor Tower case
    Vista Ultimate 64

building was a small pain in the ass, the galaxy was to long to put the retention arm in the case and to long to allow the top mounted fan to be installed (but with a 250mm side fan i think this won't be an issue at all), the push pins on the ninja don't seem to have much holding force (although it is tight). finally a bit disappointed with the galaxy in regards to it being a modular psu, i only had to use 2 of the modular leads and the rest were in the pre-loom. and for £160ish psu it was a bit of a let down as it screwed up my neat looming.

right first question, how different is vista to install compared to xp (yep im still on xp) and anything to watch out for regarding 64 i.e. are drivers still a bit flakey etc.

are prime and orthos compatible with 64 so i can test it overnight.

Actually Vista install's a breeze & I've been using x64 ultimate for ages with very few issues. The only real one was with my X-fi.
