Otherwise looks fine. You dont need the 620w HX get the 520w.

Surely a fellow Staffordshire guy can see I put I already have the 620w! Cheers for the ram recommendations aswell! Would prefer 2x2gb as then I can go 8gb (always nice to keep options open)

Also get the 1600RPM S-Flex. It's still as nearasdamnit silent and will keep the CPU cooler. Plus you can always adjust fans down, never up...

Been out of the loop for a month or so but wouldn't a P35 board be just as good and cheaper?

depends how frequent you want to upgrade really.

X38 has 1600mhz fsb support and pcie 2.0. so if you want a new cpu in a year or so then its not a bad way to go. But if you want to do another big upgrade a few years down the line the P35 is a lot more cost effective.

I'm buying X38 for the reasons Mike has stated, I probably won't upgrade anything but the graphics card but I like to keep my options open, and then I have PCI-E 2.0 which will be good for future GPU's
