    New Pc Rig

Hi I was thinking of getting the follow parts for an upgrade. I'm gonna use this PC for gaming etc. Please tell me what you think of them.

    Intel Core 2 Quad-Core Q6600 OEM (G0 Stepping) £155.56

Gigabyte GA P35-DS4 £99.29 - Are there any similar priced decent mobos that will let me use a custom HSF, because im not sure wether I can fit one to this (damn backplate)?

    2GB Corsair TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 CAS 4-4-4-12 £39.82

512MB MSI 8800GT OC £176.24 - Should I buy this or wait a few weeks for the G92 GTS' (and will they be in the same price range)?

520W Coolermaster Real Power M520 Modular PSU £57.56 - Will this PSU be O.K. and allow me to overclock the cpu / ram ?[/B]

I'm also looking for a couple of quiet 120mm fans that i can mod into my case for better cooling, any ideas?

Whats the difference between the Thermalright Ultra-120A 120mm £25.83 and Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme £35.24 as I want one of these beauties to cool my cpu?

    Thanks in advance!

I would get a Corsair HX520 if you need a modular PSU. Really quiet too!!

    Re: New Pc Rig

the 120A was the older model then they brought out the extreme which is a bit better, both good though.

Go with the Abit IP-35 at £72 on scan today only or the Pro version at £111 also on scan today only (they will be that price until monday morning)

I'd also go with the above, the corsair PSU is very nice.

Fans wise the Scythe S-Flex 1200 is very quiet and pushes a lot of air. the 1600 pushes even more but still remains quite quiet.

Cheaper options are the Sharkoon Silent eagles or Golf Balls which are silent to me but don't push that much air.
