    Intrested in building a laptop

    I am interested in making myself a laptop, and want to know where on earth can i obtain an inexpensive bare bone laptop with a screen, and SocketA XP-M 2500+ Barton processor? thanks in advance.

    For that generation of equipment all I can recommend is ebay. Scan sell barebones for ~£590, and I think you can get Asus ones but neither are for socket A.

    buying the parts is expensive?

    cheaper to buy a laptop or if interested a a build then try this site

    I looked into this and building a laptop costs ALOT more than buying the same spec system. This is mainly due to the shell costing so much. If you want to mess about with an old socket A you could buy a 2nd hand socket A laptop then rip it to pieces and do what you want with it.

    Thanks for the help everyone, and I know its expensive as there arnt many 'barebone case' sellers just resellers who sell in bulk not singluar items >.<. Thanks for the site Freddie will look into it and thanks for the advice mountainmachine. Will still continue looking as I want to accomplish making my own laptop someday just another challenge to conquer whats life when we don't take risks...would be pretty boring and would end up following someone elses feet other than your own.
