FSX 'Out of Memory'

hello,

I've started getting Out of Memory error messages in Flight Sim X. This is even after turning down settings considerably. Could this mean I now need to upgrade to 4GB and Vista 64? Would I benefit much, other than getting rid of these messages?

From what I've heard FSX is a pile of poo and nearly everyone has some issue running it.

I know there are a lot of issues, but what I meant was would 4GB fix this particular issue, and would I gain any other benefits from this?

Try closing some background tasks, that could be it. Process Explorer v11.04 may help with that.

Alternatively you could try increasing virtual memory to a fixed size of 3gb.

That's not it - theres a small bug in FSX that is not to do with the system ram, but to do with the Video card. I can't remember the fix, but (I don't think) it's system ram that's causing the issue. I had it before, although not since moving to Vista x64.

Could be. I know that I fiddled around with the GFX settings and the problem went away. Anythings poss with FSX though...!

Well, it is an M$ program. You didn't expect it to work with an M$ OS now, did you?
