Are all XP2500+, 2600+ etc Bartons (512K L2) or are there the same 333MHz chips with 256K L2

All 2500+ are Bartons. All Bartons are 333. 2600+ aren't, IIRC, there were two versions, a 266 at 2133 and a 333 at 2087. Everything higher is Barton (although I think there was, briefly, a 2800+ TBred??)
Well Hello!
You are 100% sure ALL 2500+ are Bartons?
I'm positive all 2500+ parts were Bartons. 2600+ are in both TBred and Barton forms.
Right, then if that is the case I will go and order a 2500+
Just on the phone to a local retailer who says he can get me a 2500+ with 333mHz FsB, but it runs at just over 2GHz... I thoguht they were around 1.8
Fast reply please
they're officially rated at 1.83ghz, (although many can be overclocked to 2ghz and beyond)
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is
Not sure about that chip, but 2500+ Bartons run at 1.83ghz give or take.
2500+ Bartons.. I thought all 2500+ were? ><
Just to clarify, I'm not sure if theres any other 2500+'s. But the barton ones are 1.83ghz!
2500+ Barton is analogous to Ford Fiesta...there is no Fiesta that isn't ford. AMD Athlon XP 2500+ is by definition a Barton. Fiestas are by definition made by Ford.
Well Hello!
Cheers for that daverobev,
The bloke never got back to me, so ill just save the hassle of arguing with the fool, and just order one off the net, Cheers for all the input guys
I have a Barton 2500+
512 L2 Cache
