Re: more memory or faster memory

depends what the board goes up to really, pointless getting the crucial if your board wont go up to 6400, also what do you use it for ? 2gb is most probably sufficient

If you arent doing ENORMOUS overclocks then then 6400 is the one. This will infact OC to very high aswell.
    Depends on price really aswell.

Re: more memory or faster memory

    Unless you're using a 64-bit OS you'll only get use of ~3Gb.

OTOH good PC6400 will OC anyway.

If you'll keep this setup more than 18 months get 4Mb. Otherwise get 2Mb. IMO PC8500 isn't worth the money.

so, the 4gb is worth it ?, the 8500 is about 16 dollars less in price then the 4gb. yes i'l probably keep the setup for around 18months but il change the cpu in 2-3months. hm because I'm buying a new harddrive tomorrow so il install windows 64 then.(got a msdnaa account).

If you're going 64-bit definitely get the 4Gb.
