Or does the the NF7 have decent enough onboard sound for a non-audiophile geek?
Can anyone answer this pls? I've just bought an ASUS 9600XT from David so I have to get a new mobo and processor now!

It would be rude not to stick with Asus me thinks!

    NF7 or NF7-S?

I don't think theres any great hassle with standard onboard sound. mates got an abit with the same onboard sound and it's fine - he's got bog standard speakers to listen to the occasional CD or DVD.
