    (And even if you do get £90 on Ebay, chances are, Ebay will take at least £10 off you)

    Not worth the upgrade TBH, unless you make use of the extra cores. In gaming there will be no difference in performance. In most applications that are MULTITHREDDED and are capable of using 4 or more threads the Q6600 will be quicker.

    If you mostly game, it wouldn't be worthwhile...

    What might be worth considering is upgrading to an E8400, and o/c it to 4GHz + and sell your E6600 (which should get between £55-65) to offset against the cost of the E8400....

    Yeah, with games such as Alan Wake which will be programmed so that different cores do different stuff, e.g. one for physics, one for audio, etc.
