    Re: Crysis settings for 7900gs

I followed a similar method to Hunain when I downloaded the demo. I switched everything to minimum then gave it a go ... my 7600GT was OK at 1680 x 1050, but if I tried turning anything up the fps dropped quickly.

It definitely put me off buying the game, I'll wait until I've upgraded my gfx card and then look for Crysis in the bargain bin.

Er.... You don't have to get 5 FPS on highest settings on a 7900GS. Just overclock your 7900GS as far as your cooling system lets you. I maxed out my graphics card to... well, the highest RivaTuner would let me. And I'm getting 20-25 FPS now in combat on high settings (not Very High)

Seriously, holy ****, the game is so much more playable after overclocking. Try it out.

    BTW:

    AMD 64 3000+ (overclocked to 3800+)
    7900GS 256 mb PCI-E
    2 gigabytes of DDR2 RAM 800mhz
