Nope, I was being serious and knew about the memory - just over half a grand for a motherboard, even with DDR3 RAM integrated is mad.

Come on people. If it doesn't appeal to you, don't buy it, no need to slag Asus off just because either you can't afford it or its too shiny for you.

dogie - its not a case of slagging off Asus, its a question of why did they launch a product few on this board at least see a viable market for. The cost of developing this board if it doesn't sell very well will have to be made up in the cost of the other boards it develops, hence its going to hit us in the pockets eventually.

2 gb 1333mhz corsair ram £223.12 from scan
Asus P5K3 deluxe £123.36 from scan
total price = £346.48

so what is the extra £206.39 getting you for the premium version????
