Re: Uninstalling software
It should remove itself from the registry but more often then not applications dont.
I think you can download a registry scanner which will detect "dead" entries in your registry and remove them as well as any suspicious ones too.
Re: Uninstalling software
CCleaner will do the job of removing erroneous registry files.
Re: Uninstalling software
^^ I agree; I've been using CCleaner for weeks now; its pretty sweet...and free. It'll not only clean your registry, but other junk too. The first time I ran it on this old Pentium II machine, it cleaned out over a gigabyte of crap. :D
Re: Uninstalling software
use CCleanerfirst and then run RegScrubXP, these two together should safely cleans junk out of the registry. RegScrubXP download from Registry Tools category
RegcrubXP, as it's name suggests, lists xp/2000 as supported OS's, so am not sure if it works on vista.
Both of the above are free.
Re: Uninstalling software
One thing to be careful of with CCCleaner is that at defaults it will remove ALL cookies, including all those useful ones that stop you having to log in every time at sites like Hexus...
Re: Uninstalling software
