KVM Switch Problems

The KVM switch I'm currently using only allows PS/2 keyboard/mouse and the mouse I use is a Wireless Microsoft one and it's USB.

I've used a USB to PS/2 converter but I'm having problems with the mouse, it seems very very slow at times and other times it won't work at all.

Any suggestions or is time for a new KVM switch that can handle USB?

I use a 4 port v ersion of theese

Belkin : SOHO KVM Switch

and while I'm not generally a Belkin fan, it really is good. I use a USB wired mouse and just use the PS2 mouse connectors on the computer. Should work with a wiireless USB mouse. The only slight gotcha is that the cable sets are extra - about £7 a set IIRC. But then you get a video cable, two ps2/ps2 cables and sound cables, so I suppose it isn't bad!!

I had the exact same issue with a Belkin 2 port KVM. My mouse was a wired USB optical mouse. I tried all sorts of converters but it just wouldn't work.

I bought a wired PS2 mouse instead

The KVM I linked to DOES work with a USB mouse which is why I think it m ight work with wireless USB - but I haven't tested it!

I'm using some unbranded PS2 KVM and it works fine with a wired USB mouse and a PS2 converter but for some reason doesn't like the wireless USB mouse and a PS2 converter, by the sounds of it I'm having the same issues as you.
I've just stuck with the wired mouse as it doesn't matter to me which I use.

There are several KVMs on that page, could you please let me know which exact model you have?

Edit: I'm narrowing my choice down a bit by selecting 4 port with Audio
