Question How Much Should I Sell For.....

I have a freind who wants to buy my computer which is kind of perfect since I want to build one as well!

Anyway I want to seel it to him at a fair and honest price so I thought I would turn to you guys for an honest opinion. The computer in question has the following specs:

    AMD 64+ 3500 @2.2GHz Stock
    Nivdia BFG 6800 GS 256MB Pre-OC
    1GB DDR RAM
    ASRock K8 Combo-Z Mobo
    160GB HardDrive @ 7,200 RPM
    Black Tower Case
APC 500W Battery Back-up unit- myswell throw this in as it won't be powerful enough for a new rig.

So what price do you guys think, obviously it won't be that much but I was hoping to get a reasonable amount to put towards the new rig.....

    Please recommen a sutiable price...

    Thanks,

    £100-120 absolute maximum im afraid.

You would get more selling those parts seperately.

Re: How Much Should I Sell For.....

I'd be tempted to ask a bit more as he wouldn't be able to get all those components for less than say £150-200.

I'm not saying it's necessarily worth that much, just that if he wanted to get something else, he'd be looking at spending £200 at a minimum.

Recently priced out a few rigs for mates on a budget, and we seem to hit ~£300 on almost every occasion. Admittedly the key components can be had for less, but when you factor in a case, decent psu, AS5 and some form of decent cooler (plus perhaps delivery etc) we find it hard to go far under.

I would say somewhere in the region of £150, bearing in mind what can be bought for about £250 packaged and new

Could get £120. But remove graphics card (or put an old average one in) tell him he needs to buy a new one if his an avid gamer. If you have a good make PSU then remove that too. Now obviously he can buy yours separately and will save him time and hassle.

I agree with the general consensus here, I would say £100 to about £120.
