Question So where are these new 45nm/Yorkfield Quad Cores?

Everybody on these forums seems to talk about the new quad cores (plural) that have JUST been released?

I see only 1 which is a QX9650 which is retailed at a very expensive price!

So where are these other new quad cores?

Also I really want to build a new rig now which is going to be futureproof for a while and so was wondering are there any mobos which support PCI 2.0, DDR 3 and CPU 1600Mhz FSB?

    love it.

The lesser yorkfields are speculated for a January release so not long to go.

Some of the X-38 motherboards support all those things
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK

Re: So where are these new 45nm/Yorkfield Quad Cores?

I know I say futureproof for a while because so many ppl come on here saying they want a future proof pc, thats never going to happen! lol

Thats strange as just looking at another rate my next build thread and one of the sneior members on these forums keeps going on about the Yorkfields "which have just been released", notice the plural of yorkfields...

Also, I kind find a list of these neq yorkfields anywhere! Does anyone have a link to Specs/Possible RRP?

Also all the X-38's i looked at had say 2 of those features but never all 3.....

    Thanks guys,

    Tim

EDIT: I've also heard that since I'm from the UK, with the price of the Euro right now it was a good idea to buy from Germany???

Anyone got any good German hardware sites?

Nice Mobo, That'll still be only as futureproof as anything else. Nothing's really futureproof it's just how fast it ages. I'm guessing that one will be "futureproof" for a while.

wow! I'm an idiot lol! I'm a little confused by all the numbers, will it support the next 1600 Mhz FSB Processors at full speed?

Alsom I updated my second post with a question about the new cpus...

ok so that seems to be the perfect motherboard for me, does anyone have a link with the specs of the lesser yorkfields/pricing?

Also, anyone got any comments on the Germany Idea?

Yay cheers mate it looks to me as if the Q4950 is best for me, but I really wanted 1600MHZ FSB but thats only supported by the Extreme Quads which are frankly too expensive.

    Thanks,

    Mac
