Motherboard Query

Hi Folks,
I am building a new system and quite like this mobo :-Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP, iP35, I will be teaming it up with a Q6600 and 2Gb corsair memory, and an nvidia 8800gt, all housed in an Antec 900 case. Would this motherboard be ok as I play CSS, HL2, WTCC, games and also do quite a lot of video and photo editing. Sorry for rambling on

It's fine for all of that. Are you planning on overclocking?

I prefer abit personally, this board is very good and a little bit cheaper

If you plan on doing a little bit of overclocking (or not) and don't need the eSATA ports then this is a great board

They don't look as nice but they are just as good if not better, especially the support you recieve.. there is even an abit forum here on hexus.

Thanks Mike, I have had Asus boards in the past and have found them very good, I like the WiFi addition as I will not need to add another card to the system and it looks like it has good overclocking features. I think I'll have to check out some more reviews. I have an Xclio X14 S4P4 650W supply, do you think it will be man enough for the system?

I like asus to and have never had a problem with one of their boards it must be said.

That board has a lot of good features it will just not be quite as good at hardcore overclocks which not many of us go for anyway (still perfect for most overclocks i.e q6600 to 3.2/3.4ghz etc)

Hi Mike,
I have gone with the P5KE WiFi board you suggested, found it on special offer at Scan along with the Q6600 and Corsair ram, so have ordered all three !
