Sounds very fast indeed matey
how about an xt?
Can you fit two 80gigs in there instead of one 160 because the two drives may last longer (relaiblility) ??
Gotta disagree there, Steve - he's better off with a single 160. With two 80s he'd have to only have half the capacity (for RAID1 mirroring) for reliability, or no increased reliability, marginal perf increase (in RAID0) and double the chance of a hard disk failure losing his data.
edit: wedge, I take it you'd be using the SATA Diamond Max Plus 9 Maxtor? I use the 80GB version. Good drive.
well i am planning on replacing my current setup of a sn45g with a 2500xp and 512mb of ram

Looks good. Although In a shuttle i would go with a more silent HDD like a Seagate or Samsung. The Maxtor is the loudest thing in my system.
I have been tempted by the new Aopen SFF the EZ65, so I think that i will soon be selling my cpu,sn45g which is modded and possibly my ram too. Can someone please suggest a setup for the Aopen that would be faster then my current system.
