Question Which mouse for laptop use please?

    Dear All,

Please advise on suitable mouse for home use (not gaming)? Really want one with the blue back light to match Compaq Laptop. Which drains the power more on Laptop, cable or wireless?

    Thanks

Re: Which mouse for laptop use please?

The drain on a laptop battery is minimal - more affected by the brightness of the screen.

Personally, if its going to be used on a desk then the MX1000 is perfect, decent sized, rediculously accurate, and wireless. The downside, however, is it is getting more and more difficult to find them.

The MX518 perhaps may be a good choice, as it is a wired mouse (so no reciever/docking station) and is really comfortable. This is of course omitting the perpose designed laptop mice, which I personally find too small for my hands.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks for that, I decided on the Microsoft Optical 3000 notebook mouse, it's compact size ideal and it as the soft blue backlight as per V6630.

    Hi,

Hope you dont mind AlphaPets but Im after the same kind of advice - actually after a proper laptop mouse though so when Im travelling its easy to tuck away...

Unsure whats good and what kinda prices Im looking at - just dont think they are as developed as normal mice...

Is wireless useful for laptop mice really?

Re: Which mouse for laptop use please?

Now that I have had time to use the Microsoft Optical 3000 notebook mouse, I'm more than happy. It's compact and dinky and was about £14.00 delivered from Play.com
