    My ASus

Is the Asus ' website the worst company website ever? Every second time I try to get on (usually about 8-9 pm Est (USA; GMT – 5 hours), it is impossible. A year ago, when I built my computer with an ASus mother...board, you could not get e-mail notifications on its forums. What the heck is wrong with them?

    In a holiday spirit,

    Re: My ASus

You know, Funkstar, I could not get in on ASUSTeK Computer, but I got in on .... As you said, perhaps not the worst, but it is certainly up there!

A few weeks ago, I tried to change my e-mail address in the forums. Had no idea if it "took". Today, I discovered that it had, but that my password was wrong. Absolutely hilarious. Now, I am in, and I am going to ask what I need to monitor my CPU temperature (I have just set my CPU and chassis fans on "Optimal", and I do not hear them, so, at least in the beginning, I want to monitor the temperature. (It is soooo quite :-)

    Great talking to you!

    Re: My ASus

Someone posted this on Asus' forum: "ASUS web site has been an ongoing joke in the community for years."

I agree wholeheartedly, and I added that I did not think that Asus gave a s-t about what we thought about the website. I also said that from now on, I would make my thoughts about Asus' website known every time I was in a discussion list or on a forum.

    Regards,

    Re: My ASus

Well, perhaps Asus can't afford a decent server - some small companies can't.

In Opera, I have to enable cookies and referrer logging to get anything.

As for downloading: I try the links to various countries, watch the initial speed on the progress bar, cancel if too slow, then use the least slow one. Even for a BIOS update it's worth doing, as 1M can take 10min. from the slowest site.

ROFL, ASUS a small company. Brilliant.

If you think the ASUS site is slow, try downloading files from Realtek. 3 mirrors, all of which are pathetically slow 90% of the time.

    Re: My ASus

I bet the servers they have are constantly getting hammered as their products are quite popular.

I've been frustrated myself trying to load their website several times to check for BIOS updates and whatnot for my motherboard and many time I've got that annoyed waiting for the site to load and then load the support section I've just closed the browser down and thought "bugger it!"

    Re: My ASus

The only way to get them to changes is to tell everone and his/her grandmother about our experience of Asus. If you have access to blogs, that is a good way to start. Spread the word!

I did not know about them AsRock (only the ASuses).

My download stopped at some 15 %.

As may rock, but AS sucks!
