    that's exactly what happened to mine too. I hooked 2 fans to it, and 2 hdds. with the fans off, it worked ok, then i increased the fan speeds. The HDDs failed and kept trying to restart, and with the fans at full power, the psu shut down.

    Hi again folks, I hope this is my final instalment on this thread. I received my PSU and connected everything up, switched on with everything crossed and the system went on to POST
    All I need to do know is install my O.S. and then I'll be cruising. Many thanks to all who read my tale of woe and gave me the time to offer solutions.
