Need help needed with replacement PSU

HI

PSU for my dev desktop is blown, here is how it happened:

Pressed power button (on cpu) 1st time circuit broke (circuit breaker), reset the breaker 2nd pressed nothing happened, disconnected power leads from GPU, HDD but left mobo main leads connected and moved to different power socket (connected to different circuit breaker) press the ON button (on the power socket) and heard a bang with some rubber smell and that circuit also broke. There was nothing else connected to that socket.

I have spoken to the shop i bought and they are happy to send me the replacement but need to ask some questions

1: Wht is the likelyhood of mobo, CPU, Graphic card and RAM are damaged.
2: How can i check them before installing new psu, i have no other pc.
3: How should i install the new one (i.e. plug the new one in or take everyting apart and do 1 by 1).

all tips/suggestions are welcome.

You could take them to a local PC shop. If they are nice will test the parts for you.

Otherwise I would just plug the new PSU in and see if it all works. I doubt a BFG power supply would take anything with it to be honest it should all be fine.
