    changing memory timings

    hi

im back and i got my new computer finally
    i got a 8800gts 512mb
    gigabyte GA-P31-DS3l
    thats all new

but the motherboard in the bios you cant seem to change the memory timimgs and so i have sucssfully overclocked my E6300 to 3.01 ghz and the memory (Geil DDR2 800 C4 Ultra memory i think) is running at 860mhz which is fine it can run at 915mhz happly but the timings are running a 5,6,6,20 but it's ment to run at 4,4,4,18 and there is no option in the bios to change the memory timings so does anyone know a program that changes the in software mode thanks

    Re: changing memory timings

I don't own a gigabyte board myself but if you take a look at the following:

Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L Review ยป Page 5 - Closer Look (The Bios Continued) - Overclockers Club

    it states:

    "Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker:

This section is where the enthusiast will spend the majority of his time as it contains all of the system overclocking options. Processor and memory speeds, voltages, memory subtimings and more are available. The memory timings are accessed by inputting the the command Ctrl+F1 at the main BIOS screen. These settings stay hidden unless the command is used to bring them up. I guess keeping them hidden is a good things when the P31-DS3L is in a novice's hands."

    Hope that helps.
