filling up all 4 memory slots

hey guys using a gigabyte p35 board and got 2 gig atm but want to get another 2 gig for when i get vista as im pretty sure vista uses alot of memory right?

i have 2x 1 gig atm and if i filled up the other 2 slots would i have the same problem as some older ddr boards would have as in not being as fast? or recognising all the ram? and as thered be 4 sticks would not using dual channel forfit alot?

Really hard to read txt spk.

It's the OS that recognises the RAM. Top option/suggestion seems to consistently be 64bit Vista with a 64bit CPU to take advantage of all 4 GiB

I'm sure more knowledgable folk will be here to geek you out shortly.
