    Hey oakley.

I actually had trouble with my ram and my athlon 64.

I have the 3200 and the KV8-MAX3 aswell.

Basically, i bought 1gb of mushkin pc3200 level 2 (the one with bh-5 chips)
and when installing XP, it kept crashing and not letting me do anything.
I had a spare gig of Corsair XMS-3200C2PRO and tryed that and it worked fine.

I havent done alot of testing with the ram as im waiting for my new graphics card before i bench and memtest etc. I think it might be dodgy ram, or it might be because i had it in slots 1&3 and it doesn't support dual channel.

So the best ram to get it bh-5 since it loves the timings, but because alot of people have been having trouble with it, you could go safe (and save alot of money) and get some corsair.

    Hope that helps

Well the company will be paying for it so I'm not bothered about price. I just need to know what RAM will work with this mobo without errors but still keeping high performance. Corsair DDR XMS4000 work?

im not sure, you will have to check the compatibility chart on the website.

Basically, the xms3200c2pro (the one with the activity led's) worked fine, whereas my mushkin made windows crash every time on install

Anything over PC3200 is wasted on a AMD64.

Get some kingston hyper X with BH5 chips

Not when you find that most people with these boards are reaching 225+ (mine had no problem reaching 240 normally, but my Radeon wont go over 228 (used my Voodoo 3 to test).

All jokes aside, I'd like to know what RAM would be best as I really don't know. It'll be used for video editing so I need high performance.

A64 boards seen to be having issues with Corsair at the moment, so I would go with the best Kingston you can find (NON A TYPE!).
